people at this school need to understand that being here and being smart does not mean that they’re going to be entitled to everything they want in life. a certain degree doesn’t guarantee you anything, and thinking that it will almost certainly means that you’re going to have a lot harder of a time in the real world than you thought you were. there is no easy path, there are no short cuts. you better work hard as hell towards anything you want because you’re the only person who can make yourself get there.
